Please remember! In general but this is debatable... if you are a hypertensive person "Salt will kill you today, fats will kill you later" --- what do you think?
Yes... this argument is certainly open for debate but let us consider the properties of salt and fats.
Salt (table salt) has a property of retaining water. This property in excess will make the blood's volume rise, as a result of this, the heart will work harder and in return causes your blood pressure to rise quickly. Raising the blood's pressure out of the normal range will give you a lot of secondary problems like kidney diseases to failure... :)
Fats will slowly build it self up. Meaning, it will take time before it reaches a critical level of clogging and blocking the veins which will slowly and eventually gives a hard time for the heart to cope. Result? hehehe... your guess is as good as mine!
